DAY 6 - LISBON, PORTUGAL

10 November 2018, hari ke 6 trip kami..

Assalamualaikum & Salam Sejahtera..

Mendung & hujan awal pagi di luar apartment Joanna di Costa da Caparica, Portugal.. Namun tetap jugak kami keluar.. Sejuk tak terkata..

Dalam 20km apartment Joanna ke kota Lisbon.. Mahal accomodation di Lisbon sewaktu nak booking. Mahal sbb parking tak ada yg free also banyak yg charge Cleaning Fee yg mencecah berpuluh Euro.. Mcm biasa cari yg dlm radius 20km, senang sbb kami drive..

Tak berapa nampak lah color merah bridge ni atas sbb cuaca kelam.. Apapun seronok sangat..

The 25 de Abril Bridge (Ponte 25 de Abril, 25th of April Bridge, is a suspension bridge connecting the city of Lisbon, capital of Portugal, to the municipality of Almada on the left (south) bank of the Tagus river. It was inaugurated on August 6, 1966, and a train platform was added in 1999. It is often compared to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, US, because they are both suspension bridges of similar color. (Wikipedia)

JERONIMOS MONASTERY..

The Jerónimos Monastery is a former monastery of the Order of Saint Jerome near the Tagus river in the parish of Belém, in the Lisbon Municipality, Portugal; it was secularised on 28 December 1833 by state decree and its ownership transferred to the charitable institution, Real Casa Pia de Lisboa.

The monastery is one of the most prominent examples of the Portuguese Late Gothic Manueline style of architecture in Lisbon. It was classified a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the nearby Tower of Belém, in 1983. (Wikipedia)

Itik2 so comel...

Masa mmg sangat limited.. Tengok dari luar saja.

Luas sungguh tempatnya.. Tak dapat lama sbb hujan & sejuk..

BELEM TOWER, or the "Tower of St Vincent", is a fortified tower located in the civil parish of Santa Maria de Belém in the municipality of Lisbon, Portugal. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the significant role it played in the Portuguese maritime discoveries of the era of the Age of Discoveries. (Wikipedia)

Sejuk sangat.. Angin kuat. Hujan lebat.. Tapi kami tetap melawat..

Jalan2 luar saja sbb masa yg singkat..

Sejuk dik...

Seronok jugak kalau dapat drive ni..

To tram station..

Though hujan, ramai pun di jalanan.. Maybe tourists macam kami..

Suka tengok warna2 bangunan di Lisbon ni..

The Praça do Comércio is located in the city of Lisbon, Portugal. Situated near the Tagus river, the square is still commonly known as Terreiro do Paço, because it was the location of the Paços da Ribeira until it was destroyed by the great 1755 Lisbon earthquake. (Wikipedia)

The Rua Augusta Arch is a stone, triumphal arch-like, historical building and visitor attraction in Lisbon, Portugal, on the Praça do Comércio. It was built to commemorate the city's reconstruction after the 1755 earthquake. It has six columns and is adorned with statues of various historical figures. (Wikipedia)

Sungguh tak perasan pada tanda (NO TAKING PHOTOS) tapi terpegun pada ukiran2 ni..

The tram..

Hujan & sejuk pun, kami tetap nak explore Lisbon..

Banyak group students juga pada hari tu

Mengejar mencari TRAM 28..

Guards at BELEM PALACE..

Love the colorful buildings..

The Praça da Figueira is a large square in the centre of Lisbon, in Portugal. It is part of the Lisbon Baixa, the area of the city reurbanised after the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. (Wikipedia)

Hajat nak naik TRAM 28 dari sini tapi queue panjang sungguhnya..

WHY TRAM 28..
For visitors, this is the classic Lisbon tram journey, riding in a quaint yellow tram as it screeches and rattles through the narrow streets of the city. ... These historic trams are still in use, as the 28 route is completely unsuitable for modern trams, due to its numerous tight turns and steep gradients.

Alhamdulillah berkat berjalan dalam hujan akhirnya dapat jugak naik TRAM 28 ni, dah tak dapat nak ingat from which stop.. To Alfama,,,

ALFAMA is the oldest district of Lisbon, spreading on the slope between the São Jorge Castle and the Tejo river. Its name comes from the Arabic Al-hamma, meaning "hot fountains" or "baths". The district includes the freguesias (parishes) of São Miguel, Santo Estêvão, São Vicente de Fora and part of the two streets, "Freguesia da Sé: Rua do Barão" and "Rua São João da Praça". It contains many important historical attractions, as well as an abundance of Fado bars and restaurants. (Wikipedia)

Alfama is one of Lisbon's most genuine neighborhoods – its architecture presents the unique characteristics of old and colorful buildings that give it a joyful character and tranquility.

Biarpun hujan, kami tetap meneruskan langkah ke tiap penjuru yg mampu utk explore Lisbon seboleh mungkin..

Though hujan all of us ronda sehabis boleh di Alfama ni, memang cantik..

TRAM 28 stop di Alfama..

Menanti TRAM 28..

Terpesona dgn bangunan yg colorful ni..

Nampak tak TRAM 28 yg kami naik lalu tu, nampak tak kat cermin pintu tu.

Alhamdulillah budak berdua ni seronok... Perjalanan dgn TRAM 28 ni mmg seronok & mencabar sikit, ada kala terpaksa berhenti 10-15 minit sbb trek yg sempit.. Kereta lori motor pun guna jalan yg sama..

Dah nak sampai baru dapat seat but she's ok je pun..

Sejuk.. Just nice tram stop kat luar hotel, tumpang toilet..

Last one dengan TRAM 28 Lisbon..

Then rushing naik train ke MESQUITA CENTRAL de LISBON utk solat.. Dlm 2km kalau jalan kaki tapi nak cepat kami naik train je..

Alhamdulillah sampai jua.. Terpegun dgn senibina nya..

Terjumpa jemaah dari Malaysia..

Tak dapat lama.. One for the album..

Back to Belem Train Station.. Kereta park kat situ..

Alhamdulillah smooth semuanya..
