GATHERINGS...

For the past one month ni, banyak betul gatherings but mostly farewell gatherings. Selalunya, movements banyak during summer holiday ni. Senang untuk anak2 register masuk sekolah after the break, kot. Tapi kita di Malaysia, tahun persekolahan bermula Januari, kan? Been busy as well, helping out mana yang boleh untuk organize "makan2" ni. Ikut perintah Maam2 yang berkenaan je. Tapi seronok.. ya la.. bab makan sape yang seronok..!!!

Ohhh...! Ini kek hadiah dari Chef Hotel... Family gathering, kami 4 beranak kat Hotel Equatorial, Sabtu lepas... Actually, 15-20 Jun ada 3 tarikh penting untuk disambut. Anniversary, Father's Day & Birthday. So, one shot la sokmo2 nya... He he.. I baik dengan Chef situ. Kenal lama since we got here in 1997. He was posted back to Equatorial Hotel in KL for 4 years, and early last year, came back to Saigon with a wife & a son..!! They are of course Malaysian la, tu kan hotel Malaysia. He's a Chinese guy, tapi masak Laksa Penang, Nasi Lemak, Sambal Tumis etc.. memang kaw kaw punya la..!!!

* Farewell & Well Wishes gathering at Angela's house. A Singaporean friend will leave soon, back to Singapore. Blessed with 3 sons, and now.... pregnant with another baby..!!! She's quite shocked actually coz she's over 40. Never ever imagined that she'll get pregnant again. Accident la tu. At first, she couldn't take it but after seeing her sons are so excited about it, then only we could see smile on her face again... She is such a generous friend, kind hearted, so helpful...
As I was the only Muslim joining the party, all of my frens cooked seafood stuffs that night. How sweet of them kan kan..!! I volunteered to cook Nasi Lemak and all of them were so so happy. They have been asking for so long. Tapi kemalasan yang teramat sangat masih tebal dalam sanubari ini. Depa suruh I masak 7 cups sebab ada food lain, but I cooked 12 cups instead. Mana la cukup, my family je 3 cups dah. Hmm.. tak leh den nak nolong la malam tu, 12 cups nasi pun tak cukup...!!! Kesian la si Jane, maid Angela, bagai nak rak pulak masak nasi putih..!! Sambal extra tu (purposely masak banyak), depa tapau la sikit2 sorang..

Ni pulak "Malaysian Ladies" gathering. After so long (2 years kot), lepas Kak Siti balik KL, Lily Lo balik Canada, Taimen pi Hanoi... takde orang pun nak organize potluck2 gathering ni. But ada akak sorang dua tiga tu yang semangat nak buat, so dengan bangganya, jadi la Potluck Gathering ~ Malaysian Ladies ni. I'm the text (sms) lady here. Tukang collect hp no and tukang sms la. Plus tukang cari venue, beli brang2, kutip sampah etc..!! We invited Puan Akma, Vice Consul. Terkejut dia..!!! Ramai betul Malaysian Ladies kat
Saigon, dia kata..!!! Mana taknya, we keep telling others to forward the invitations. Ya la, campur2 semua yang kawin dengan non-Malaysians pun ramai. Yang duduk jauh2 pun datang. Suka hati dia..!! Bagai nak rak la semua melantak, apa taknya, semua juadah Malaysia..!! Yang mengandung2 tu, lagi la seronoknya. Rezeki semua orang..!! Saya pun turut suka hati..!! Setelah sekian lama....

FAREWELL & SURPRISE..

What a surprise..!!!! Went to Somerset Apt to get my beef & chicken.. I ran into Kanae Nakamura, my Japanese fren, who left us to join her husband in Manila.. together with her kids.. one of them Syuntaro, was Zharif's classmate in school..

Later in the afternoon, we bid farewell to another Japanese fren & neighbour, Magumi who will be flying back to Japan after 4 years in Ho Chi Minh City..

Zharif will definitely miss Katzuki..

RELIEVED.... LAST DAY IN SCHOOL..!!!

Fuuuhhhh... I'm so so relieved. For the past 2 weeks, I've been so busy travelling to fetch Marsha from school @ 11am. (Kacau schedule ku, no time to surf/snooze etc... with so many things in my head too - saturated dah dok pikir2 ni..) The compound management cancelled the 11am shuttle service to town. Mangkuk punya manager. I've been using the 11am shuttle for almost a year, picking up Marsha from school & suddenly they cancelled... just like that.. Thot I was the only one complaining, but I saw the Japanese & Koreans gathered at the office to protest also.

Ha ha.. some even didnt notice about it, plus my fren Janet. She got so crazy waiting without knowing there's no more bus service at 11am. Me & hubby called them to consider becoz school will finish in 2 weeks time only. Huh.. he made dunno one..!! Prrgghhh.... Spanish tu memang mangkuk..!! All this while, it's either me or my nanny will go. But without the 11am bus, I dare not send my nanny to take the 10am bus and wait until 11am, then get a cab to the bus stop and wait for another hour for the next 12.45 bus back to the compound. Take a cab?? Aiyaahh.. RM30 one way, plus traffic's so heavy during lunch hour.

Aiiyyaaahh... they made me go out everyday la for the past 2 weeks. Very very tiring...!! Instead of going out at 10am, I made appointment with frens earlier at 9am for breakfast and window shopping. Grrrhgghh... I'm not that type of person actually but... no choice maaaahh.!!!! Pheewww... now I can rest (maybe la kot coz now already the summer holiday, surely the house will turn out like war zone with the kids at home..)

Today, 15 June's the last in school for Marsha & Zharif. Zharif asked me to attend the school assembly at 8am but I need to go to Marsha's school for year end concert too at 9-11am. Huh.. managed to bribe him, lunch at Japanese Restaurant later. Hubby's in KL for meeting. It was a hectic day for me, both schools are far ~ 12km.. with the traffic etc. Alhamdulillah, after things settled at Marsha's school, we rushed to Zharif's school to fetch him becoz today... early dismissal laa... @ 12 instead of 2.30pm..

ZHARIF, LAST DAY IN SCHOOL..

Last day in school, with Miss Katherine. She'll be leaving soon, to Norway..

Yesterday was "Class Party Day". Zharif's frens expected I'd bake choc muffins. Takde la pulak. Kesian punya hal, I baked last nite & brought to school today. Sengih la kot takde gigi pun, melantak muffin tu. Not so tasty, but I put lots of choc chips je..

With one of his close buddy, Nicholas. Will be leaving for good, to Bangladesh.

Close buddy, Edward Rahman.. Excited gila la ni coz next August, they'll be in the same class again. Separated last year but soon will reunite, (sob sob sob) without Nicholas..
